Iran director Mehdi Rahmani to judge at Spanish film festival

Organizers of the 18th Imagineindia International Film Festival in Spain have announced that Iranian director Mehdi Rahmani will join the jury.

The other members of the jury are Hanna Polak from Poland, Ruchika Oberoi from India, Olga Khlasheva from Kazakhstan, and Felix Sabroso Cruz from Spain.

More than 80 films have been selected from around the world to go on the Spanish screen.

The festival has planned to honor Indian director Buddhadeb Dasgupta with a lifetime achievement award.

The18th Imagineindia International Film Festival is slated for May 17-31, 2019 in Madrid.

Born in 1979, Rahmani is a director, film producer, and scriptwriter.

He has directed and/or produced a number of movies, including ‘Temporary Passage’ (2015), ‘Snow’ (2013), ‘Hidden’ (2010), and ‘The Other’ (2009) as well as the series ‘The Special Unit’.
